Pro IFR SCENARIOS PORT HARDY ILS/DME RWY 11 APPROACH

PORT HARDY ILS/DME RWY 11 APPROACH

Try this PRO IFR Quiz - Click here

1.      You are inbound on the 324º radial at 25 DME level at 7000 and have been cleared for the straight in ILS/DME RWY 11 Approach via the 14 DME ARC.  From this position what would be the correct lateral and vertical profile for the approach?

2.      When would we expect to receive a reliable localizer signal when intercepting the localizer via the 14 DME ARC?  In other words, within how many degrees of centreline?

3.      Is runway 11 equipped with an RVR Transmissometer?

4.      If the glidepath was unserviceable and you were doing this approach with LOC/DME guidance only, what would be the 8 DME; FAF; 3 DME; and MDA respectively?

5.      For what reason do we have such a major disparity between the published altitudes in the top right hand corner.

6.      The above disparity between the published altitudes is an indication that we are likely to expect (an upslope/a downslope) when landing on RWY 11.

Awesome job you folks do, I got 100% because of the excellent training at PRO IFR through the years and the monthly quizes in the flight magazines. Thank you PRO, keep up the super job. Peter Frenzel.
