Lead Airframe & Powerplant Technician
Saudi Aramco is seeking an experienced Lead Airframe & Powerplant Technician to work with the Aviation Department. The company operates a large fleet of aircraft and maintains airstrips and aviation facilities at a number of locations in Saudi Arabia in support of company operations. The fleet consists of 17 airplanes (including five B737-700's, three De Havilland DHC-8's, two De Havilland DHC-6's) and 21 Helicopters. This dynamic organization handles passenger and cargo transportation in addition to special missions and operations to include pipelines patrol, search and rescue and medical evacuation.
Position Discription: A. Performs as the lead Technician, line, hangar, or shops inspections, maintenance, complex repairs, testing and troubleshooting on all aircrafts and aircraft systems on Saudi Aramco fleet, ground and support equipment. B. Provides directions for subordinate aircraft maintenance personnel for the purpose of performing the aircraft maintenance job tasks to a rigid specifications established by the FAA, equipment manufacturers and the Saudi Aramco Aviation Department.
Minimum Requirement: A. Certificate from a specialized vocational training school or 30 months FAA certified on-the-job training. B. Valid FAA Airframe & Power Plant License. C. Over ten (10) years of experience and current employed as a Licensed Airframe & Power plant Technician performing Line/Hangar or Heavy check maintenance. D. Preferred Experience on B737-700, Embraer 170/190, King Air 350 and Air Tractor.
Duties and Responsibilities: 1. In addition to his duties, performs all the duties of Sr. Spec. A&P Technician and A&P Technician, and is the normal relief of the respective unit Foreman when the vacation or work schedule requires. 2. Receives assignments and instructions verbally or in writing from Foreman, and gives work directions to subordinate personnel, in addition to performing periodic inspections, maintenance, repair and testing of all aircraft systems, ground support equipment and system test equipment. 3. Conducts on-the-job training of subordinate personnel, instructing them in approved procedures and proper handling of tools and equipment, stressing safe work practices and good housekeeping. 4. Review current graphs, charts, diagrams bulletins, manuals, and memoranda required to perform unusual work, solve unusual problems or to determine tolerance, current methods or standards. Keep abreast of maintenance methods, standards and specifications through bulletins, manuals, regulations and aeronautical technical data. 5. Inspects and certifies all work done by subordinate personnel to determine airworthiness as required by the Federal Aviation Administration. 6. Performs, in the interest of safety, efficiency and economy, other similar or lesser duties as assigned which are essential to complete the work and are within his ability and skills. 7. Performs maintenance and aircraft recovery at remote locations when/where required.
